Humpty Dumpty Put Back Together

From Alex: Noe is almost completely re-assembled. She has her bone flap in place and her trach tube removed. All that is left, is a feeding tube in her abdomen and a PIC line in her arm. Dr. Neal hopes to discharge her later next week. Thank God for His grace and mercy!

Noe was able to find her own voice today for the first time in weeks! She also had some pudding and water and will try more solid food tomorrow! She was given some Vicodin for the pain from surgery. Noe will start back with 3 hours of rehab tomorrow.

We continue to ask for no visitors. Please know that Noe receives your comments and appreciates all of them! Please pray for Noe's strength during rehab and for pain management. Please pray for Noah as he is sick at home. Pray for Alex as he cares for Noe and the boys. And Praise God for His faithfulness and answered prayer over the last several weeks.

"You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head....You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it." Psalm 139:4,5,13,14

What wonderful news! We are so thankful you are through the worst of this. God is good! You have no idea how many people you have touched and how many people your faith has touched. I know God is smiling down on the AuYeung family saying, "Well done!" I pray that no one else in the family gets sick and that your recovery from here on out is smooth sailing. We miss you!

Noe, we've been reading faithfully hoping that good news comes with each new day. Our hearts and prayers have been with you all, and the rest of your extended family, during your courageous battle of recovery. Those prayers are being answered one by one... Until the day I get to see your smiling face as you drive by the house, boys in tow, will I feel truly relieved. I can't tell you how much we all are looking forward to that day. It'll be here sooner than expected, I'm sure. Your faith and your strength will help you finish your journey of recovery.
Love,
The Higashi's
P.S. So this is how you blog... Sad, huh?

Noe, I am thrilled to hear the surgery went well, and I hope your pain subsides soon!! Keep up the strength and momentum you and Alex have built, just like you do when you are running:) I am sorry Noah is sick, but happy to hear he at home where it is warm, and hopefully getting better. Poor kid has an awful cough and a sausage for a finger! Hang in there, the race is almost over!

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the LORD Jeremiah 30:17

Noe & Alex,
Oh how the Lord has given you his grace and love. The Lord keeps his promises about caring for his children and you are proof of that as we sing with joy about his goodness. Yes, it's been a long journey on a path that you knew little about. But by your faith alone we now know that God is truly the master physician who heals the sick. Following him is always the answer.

Noe,prayers and your faith in him have brought you this far. I am so elated with the good news about the surgery. A few bumps in the road are all that is left.

And Alex you continue to be a great example for many of us that are fathers and husbands. Your love for Noe is so strong that nothing can possibly stand in it's way.We love you both and are glad that God had brought us together as brothers and sisters.

Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,
Marvin, Barbara & Girls

What great news! I so love the humor. Today I had the pleasure of eating lunch with leadership today..Luke and the others planned their last spirit day, ordered the next shipment of rewards, and planned their fairwell party :-). It was fun to watch this group in action, all such fabulous kids-no bias or anything. It was fun to hear about Auntie Rodlyn...how lucky to have such a loving family....and to see his cute hair cut. We all can't wait for your home coming. Feel our warm hugs around you. Much love to you Au-Yueng family. Continue to heal Noe. We miss your laughter and energy at MW.

Dear Noe,
What wonderful news we have gotten!! I loved the humor in the title of today's 'post'! What a 'precious moment' it must have been for you, Alex, the boys and your family to have you be able to 'speak' with your own voice again after so long...and the pudding had to be the 'best'! : ) You are such a strong woman, Noe. Your courage and determination are an inspiration to us all! And the love, faith, and dedication of Alex and the boys...a beautiful story of 'true' love, inspired by who you are to them! 'Home' is just ahead of you, Noe...Yeah!! Continue your valiant efforts, we're all cheering for you, and looking forward to visiting with you soon! Continued prayers for all of you....
Love,
Nancy Arreola
