Matching Haircuts!

From Alex: Luke and I decided to have the same haircut as Noe! Noe was feeling much better on Saturday and used her walker outside the hospital for the first time in several weeks! She continues to do well with all her therapies. Sunday was a day of rest. Noe continues to have headaches and is waiting for some more solid food.

"We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you." Psalm 33:20-22

Please continue to pray for Noe's upcoming surgery to replace the bone flap. Also pray for Noe as she tries to piece together the last six weeks. Please pray for Alex and the boys strength and perseverance. Pray for mom and Rodlyn as they are caring for the house and family.

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:2,3

SOLIDARITY.....
Over the last year I have been following another family's blog as the wife battles cancer. One of the entries was title "Chrome" and it reminds me of todays' blog for you guys. The dad shaved his head so he could math his wife. Their son asked him why he did that and the dad simply replied "solidarity".
The son says, "what's that mean?" and the dad replied "I don't want mommy to do it alone". How beautiful! What a beautiful picture you have captured of your solidarity.
We are amazed at your progress, Noe, and like so many of your friends and family we pray for you ongoing throughout the day.
This journey is not over, as you know, but you guys are exemplifying Christ in you. Thank you for sharing your heart and know that is encouraging so many in such a powerful way.
Love you so much,
The Peebles

Dear Noe, Alex, All Family and Team Noe,
I have been following your progress and you have been in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you first to God and the doctors and nurses with the Lord's help that have gotten you to this point. I loved the picture with the matching haircuts. After meeting you through Reynette at Frank's service I was so touched and overwelmed by your sudden unfortunate illiness and wanted you to know that a lot of people you probably don't even know that well, are loving and praying for you and your sweet family. Just keep on fighting and know that we are here cheering you on and praying for your quick and complete recovery!! Happy 2009! Alex , you are doing a fantastic job! Keep posting, I'm reading and praying. GOD BLESS!!!!!

Hoomaika'i-Congratulations!
Alright you guys look terriffic in the picture. The haircut I think they call it bola head yeah? Well, almost...but nevertheless it looks good to me. You already know you don't have to brush or comb it right?
Eh...good work on the therapy and congratulations for getting a chance to go outside and to breathe that God given air. We're all still praying to the Lord for his continued guidance and wisdom for the doctors and staff. Of course we're all proud of you for doing so well in therapy! You're looking good Noe!

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Hi Noe,
Just thought I'd update you on the boys. Luke's haircut looks great and seemed well-received. It did take him part of the day to reveal the haircut from under his hood though! Hee hee! Noah came in for his tutoring today. Anthony loves working with him, and returned from his session feeling proud of his accomplishments that Noah helped him achieved. What a wonderful gift to have him in class each Monday. Anyways, ask Luke about our study of volcanoes. We've been talking about your homeland! See you soon!
