Christmas Day 2008

From Alex: Today we had a restful Christmas Day in the ICU. Noe, her mom, and the nurse took a grand tour of the hospital by wheelchair! Also, Noe was able to briefly go outside for a breath of fresh air. Praise God for His mercies are renewed every day. We hope you had a blessed Christmas! Here is one of our Christmas favorites:

Mary Did you Know

"Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.
Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.
The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb.
Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am."

"But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." Luke 1:30-33

Noe,
The light shines! Even the sun came out for you yesterday. We are so happy to hear of your progress. I know it is a long way...but you've been taking such big steps recently! Good for you! One at a time, some big & some small, the light will continue to shine for you.
Love, Val, Terry , Gabe, Joe, & George

Aaaah... Love the Christmas spirit... Even in the hospital! Luke and Noah are rocks just like you Noe. They can always find a smile to share with everyone they are with and their smiles are contagious. These are the days I have been praying for you to have. Baby steps add up to big progress! Can't wait to see you very soon. Miss you and love you! Tiff

My favorite Christmas present was seeing the boys Wed. night and getting a hug from Alex, the boys and your mom and hearing that they had just been to see you. He is an awesome God! I had a dream last night that you and I were standing at some function chatting.....just like we would have been for football or wrestling or church. I can't wait for that day again. By the way Alex, that "Mary did you know" is one of Sam's favorites this year and I have loved it since I was a kid. Good pick! Love, hugs and prayers to all of you!

Aloha Kakou Again,
Our GOD IS an awesome GOD and boy do we ever know it. But you know something else? You're an awesome child Noe that God has brought into our lives. Along with Alex by your side and the boys loving you with all they got, one would say that you've got a family that will hang in there beyond expectations.

I echo the words of all of your friends and family. Good job girl......good job. Keep on "truckin" going forward and don't even look back because God is ahead of you. Follow him for he is our protector and creator of what's before us.

Looking forward to more good news,

Marvin & Gals

Noe, I hope you get out of the hospital soon. I really want to see you. I had a great time with Noah the other day when he spent the night. Romans 10:13 "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Continue to call on him. He will give you strength. Love, Dalton

YEAH.....
this is also my very Christmas favorite.

At midnight mass, the very first mass in our new church was celebrated.
I am a member of the choir and it was a thrill to raise our voices together.
The acoustics are fantastic and it was such a gift to be a part of this choir.
God is good in so many ways.... Of course, prayers for Noe and family were offered up
in thanksgiving for the gift of recovery. Now, let us continue to pray and
be grateful for what was given to us by the new born Babe.

love and hugs, Aunt Mary Ann

I have just returned from spending Christmas in Colorado with my new little grandbaby. I didn't look at any emails, except those from Team Aloha! Praise God for the Christmas gift he is giving you--she sounds so much better. I know it's going to be a long haul, but with the prayers and love surrounding you all, Noe will make it through the valley--and come out the other side the old Noe we all know and love!

Love, Barbara McRae
