Tracheostomy

From Alex: This afternoon Noe had a tracheostomy to place a breathing tube in her trachea. The procedure was initially going to be done in the ICU room but they had a difficult time accessing her trachea, so they moved the procedure to the operating room. The procedure was successful and she is stable and doing well tonight. Without the breathing tube in her mouth she should be much more comfortable. Please pray that Noe becomes stronger and more alert tomorrow.

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8

Footsteps In The Sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him
he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Noe and Alex, continue to stay strong in faith knowing the Lord is with you every step of this journey.

You know, I check this blog constantly and think of you guys constantly. I always think I will be able to say something inspirational or uplifting and then I'm at a loss. I think the "Footsteps In The Sand" is perfect. Good job, Mariah! Please just know that I pray for all of you everyday, many times a day. Noe, I pray for strength and comfort for you and Alex I pray for strength and wisdom. Noe, I want to see your smile and hear you laugh soon. I see the smile in your boys, but I want to see it from you. We love you!

I agree with Mary, always want to write something uplifting to you! Just know that we miss you and we are all cheering for you. You know I do have the cheer background and live with 2 of them so there is a lot of cheering going on in our house for you, we just replace Knights with Noe. It actually works out quite well! I always am thinking positive thoughts for you and can't wait to share some of them with you!

Hi Noe and Alex,
I too am thankful for this blog.. to be kept updated on what is happening and how to pray. Alex would never get any rest if we all were constantly calling him for updates!
I was looking at Isaiah 40 this morning and verse 29 stood out to me ..
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." I am praying daily for Alex's strength, and am awed at looking at how Noe's battle has pulled so many people to their knees and encouraged us in our own walks with the Lord. Even in her weakness, God is using Noe in powerful ways. Keep up the good fight, Noe! God uses you in mighty ways when you are healthy, too!! I know it will be a huge blessing to Alex to get to hear your voice soon. I'll keep praying!
God Bless, Julie Takasugi

HI Noe. It's Lynn (Tiff's Mom). If prayers alone could heal you, you would be home with your family real soon. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of people who are praying for you daily. These are people who you will probably never know or meet, but have been touched by you and your family. Keep fighting, Noe. And we will all continue praying.

Keep it up Alex! You are a real blessing to all of us. I'm sure Noe will be fine and she will be her normal self soon. She is in good hands and all the family members have been praying for her constantly. We are all looking forward to spend Christmas with your family.
