Psalm 139

From Alex: The attending hospitalist and the neurosurgeon agreed to schedule a tracheotomy for Noe. The general surgeon is booked up today, but will probably do the procedure tomorrow. The hospitalist has also requested a neurology consult to look into her inability to become alert for an extended period of time. Her WBC count is up a little, but no fever.

The tracheotomy will allow Noe to eat and will allow her to be more comfortable as she recovers. They will continue to monitor her and give her opportunities to breathe on her own. The neurologist assessed Noe and we will know more in the days to come.

Noe, Alex, Noah and Luke are so blessed to have each one of you in their lives. Thank you for your faithfulness and prayer during these last three weeks. Noe will remain in the ICU until she gains strength. Noe cannot receive visitors at this time. Please pray for the upcoming tracheotomy. Please pray that Noe’s swelling continues to subside and that her WBC stays normal. We will update again tomorrow. Alex enjoys reading your comments to Noe.

"O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways." Psalm 139:1-3

Ok, Noe... One more little hurdle to get through. This will allow you to breath and eat on your own which is key in your recovery. Katy is sooo right... You are such an important part in ALL of our lives and the best gift of all this Christmas is for YOU to get better. Keep battling... You know we are all cheering for you at the top of our lungs. Noe,
You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers daily. You have such a strong family and I know you are so proud of them. All of your friends cannot wait to hear your wonderful laugh and see your beautiful smile. You are strong, patient and kind and a true friend to all who know you. I hope you know you have touched many lives and we are all better people for knowing you. So that is why I say you keep fighting and get stronger because I and many other people miss your smiling face around the school. Audrey needs her sidekick. It is like peanut butter without the jelly. I'ts just not right. God Bless you and your family and thanks for all the updates. Hope to hear more great news soon.

When i stopped by during my volunteer shift yesterday, Noe was nodding her head and shaking it in response to Travis' questions. She looked directly at me when I spoke to her--she seemed to be trying to place me--Wow! So much better than last week. My prayers are with you all-- Barbara McRae

Greetings Noe and Alex,

It's cold outside this dark morning, Mark and I just got back from the gym, and I'm starting my morning devotions. Although there is darkness that covers the earth, the Lord came in the darkest of times to bring light, life, health, and JOY! Be encouraged today that the TWO of you are encouraging many to seek the Lord and to be a light in this darkness of modern times. We are the ones who get to be the hands, feet, words, and love of Jesus. I know you and you WHOLE Aloha Ohana are shining the light. I sure love you and am praying God's very BEST for you today.

Lord, bless our sister, brother and their family in a way that lets them know today of Your fresh touch and joyful healing. We so love you Lord and trust in Your every way.

This is a bible verse that I use often in my volunteering.
I know that it brings comfort to the patients and family.

Give ear, O God, to my prayer,
Heed my plea for mercy.

In my time of trouble I call You,
For You will answer me.

When pain and fatigue are my companions, Let there be room in my heart for strength.

When days and nights are filled with darkness, Let the light of courage find it place.

Help me to endure the suffering and dissolve the fear, Renew within me the calm spirit of trust and peace.

Ba-rch a-ta, A-do-nai, ro-fei ha-cho-lim.
We praise you, O God, healer of the sick.

I think this is from Isaiah.

Our fervent prayers are with you, Noe and the boys.

Love, Aunt Mary Ann

Noe - I just wanted to share what Darrian said as we were driving past your house last night. His words were "This stinks that all this happened to the happiest person on earth" I think that is how everyone perceives you. We can't wait to see you and your wonderful smile that projects happiness on all of us that are blessed to be in your life.

Thank you Alex for letting us be involved in this journey with you on a such a personal level. You are amazing. As always you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Ok, Tammy... Now it is my turn to read your touching comment from Darrian. Kids speak the truth! Noe you are not only the happiest person, you are also the most beautiful person externally and internally. What you see is what you get with you. You touch every person you have ever met in some way and always left a positive feeling with them. You are an absolute gift to us and our community. Keep fighting Noe! Please... I miss you more today than ever and need you to get better. I need my Noe!!! Tiff

Hi Noe,

I'm hoping you will be able to join Mary and I in more bible studies at my house in the New Year. We miss you at church. I've only known you a few months but I look forward to many years ahead of getting to know you better. Our boys will be growing up in church together, which is so special. I'm praying for a fast recovery. You can do it!

Hi Noe!
Thought you might like an update from your son's teacher! Luke is doing fine in class. I think he knows you will be better soon, so he stays strong. He is keeping up with his work and would make you proud. He is a wonderful little sparkler. Noah came in last Monday and did his tutoring as usual. He too brightens my day. Both your boys are absolute treasures. Keep getting stronger. The Mark West Family misses you.
Love,
Brigitta
