ICP Monitor Removed

Today was another restful day in the ICU. Noe's nurse, Travis, took very good care of her. This morning Dr. Lapsiwala, the neurosurgeon, removed the Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitor! Noe has been maintaining her pressures well for the past few days. Two times a day the nurses will exercise Noe's lungs by allowing her to breathe mostly on her own. If all remains stable, Noe may be extubated on Sunday or Monday. Dr. Warner, the infectious disease doctor, said that Noe's lungs are strong and clear and that her white blood cell count is normal. She has been without sedatives for over 24 hours. She still receives some morphine to keep her comfortable. Noe is opening her eyes and nodding her head in agreement. It was encouraging to see Noe's improvement over the past couple of days.

Please pray that Noe will be increasingly stable and alert so that she can be extubated within the next few days. Please pray that God provides Alex with strength and endurance in the days ahead. Thank you for your encouraging comments. Noe is still not able to receive visitors at this time.

"Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day." Psalm 25:4,5

Alex and family enjoyed their trip to Sebastopol for Noah's ALLSTARS football game this morning. Game time was at 10 am.

It was great seeing you today Alex! I hope Noah's all star game was a nice respite from the hospital and I'm sure Noe is enjoying your play by play recap. We pray for Noe's "boring" days in the ICU which will lead to her being able to return home to you and the boys. As Justine would say, "Praise the Lord!" Jeanise, Rob, Thomas, Sam & Justine

GOOD NEWS!! I just love it when God continues to answer prayer. We are so glad for the good news that they removed the ICP monitor and that Noe's lungs are strong and clear. All of it is so encouraging and we are so anxious to hear more.

As we continue on one day at a time, we are now praying that in a few days she will be extubated which would give her great comfort.

Alex, although I haven't seen you guys in a while, I know that the Father will have us meet again. I thank you for being a loving Dad and a caring husband who is an example of strength and patience.

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word" (Eph: 5:25-26)
