Time to get up!

“Humble yourselves therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6,7

This morning Noe, with the help of her physical therapist, walked with a walker out of the ICU and down the hallway! She is much more alert and clear today and she is talking with her family and friends. They have taken her off of morphine and put her on Tylenol for the pain. This change allows her to be alert, but she is still dealing with head, neck and back pain. Please continue to pray for Noe’s complete restoration.

“When I said, my foot is slipping, your mercy and loving-kindness, O lord, held me up. In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul! Psalm 94:18,19

Andrea is back today, as the ICU nurse, and is taking good care of Noe. She ate more Jell-O and she even had some custard! Later in the day, Alex took Noe in a wheelchair to meet Luke in the waiting room. She was overjoyed to hold Luke in her arms and she is looking forward to a visit with Noah tomorrow.

Dr. Warner, Noe’s infectious disease doctor, is very informative. She said Noe will continue to have IV antibiotics for the next two weeks. Dr. said Noe will meet with the physical therapist again tomorrow and if her assessment is favorable, Noe can move to a Med/Surge bed by the afternoon. Please pray that Noe will have a private room and we will inform you as soon as she moves out of the ICU. If her condition continues to improve she may be able to return home this weekend and take her IV antibiotics with her. Praise God for His continued faithfullness and for His loving-kindness to Noe and family.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6
